Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
IHS's Bachelor of Physiotherapy or BPT is an undergraduate program which is of 4-year duration including compulsory six months of clinical internship. This program involves the science of physical movement aimed at preventing disease and disability.

The course is recognized by Govt. of Odisha and after completion of the course the degree will be awarded by Utkal University.
It consists of both medical and professional subjects
The course commences in the month of July.
There will be totally 8 semesters each followed by a university examination.
For admission to BPT course under IHS, the applicant must be:
Age limit- 17 to 21 years as on 1st ( Relaxation in age as per Govt. Rules)
Gender- Both boys & girls can apply.
Qualification – Minimum +2 Science (12th standard or Higher Secondary School Certificate from any recognized board or university) with physics, chemistry & Biology.
The applicant should have 50% marks in their qualifying examination.
Those, whose results of qualifying exam are awaited, can also apply.

In India, the average starting salary of fresher BPT is approximately 30,000/month. After years of experience when you promote to Senior Physiotherapist, it’s not a great thing to earn Rs 45,000-80,000/ month.

Electrotherapy is a branch comes under physiotherapeutic management of pain and paralysis and it is used for relaxation of muscle, spasm, prevention and retardation of disuse atrophy, increase of local blood circulation.
This department deals with the disorders related to musculoskeletal system and sports.
Department of movement sciences ,enables students to have deeper knowledge and hands on learning experience that focuses on understanding the control,mechanics and physiologyof physical movement .This departments further caters to all disease related directly or indirectly to movement of various parts.
Neurological disorders are those affecting the brain, spinal cord and the nerves such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease etc.
This department serves for the patient affected with respiratory problems whom need Bronchial hygiene, Airway clearance, Secretions removal and patients posted for cardio-Thoracic surgery and other surgeries to minimize the Chest complications using Manual and Independent Chest Physiotherapeutic techniques.
Community Rehabilitation is a process which enables people to reach and maintain their optimal physical, sensory, intellectual, psychological and social performance.
